  • Oh they're beautiful! I love hot air balloons. I'd love to ride in one... Have a great day,

  • What fun, to be able to take such pictures, so close-up! I love the one of the balloon "caught" in the treetops. Beautiful.

  • Great pix! You were up close and personal....too bad you couldn't have had a nice ride!  :)   The sky is such a pretty background for the colorful balloons!

  • Super cool!

  • I've always enjoyed reading your writing! I will be subscribing to your site so I can keep up with you. =) I love your pics! I've always loved hot air balloons but have never taken a ride. Maybe one day....

  • Why is it the sight of a hot air balloon always lightens a person's heart?  Great photos and beautiful day, too.

  • How beautiful!  We had one of those fly over our neighborhood a couple weeks ago, but it was basically an advertisement for an insurance company.  Still pretty, and fascinating though.

ryc re: diabetes, yes, it is complicated for us.  Needless to say, it was a shock to our world when he was diagnosed.  We knew something was up with his health because of his frequent trips to the bathroom, the extreme fatigue, and overall lack of energy.  Turns out he has Diabetes and Thyroid Disease.  I also have Thyroid Disease, so I know what that feels like.  But I was so devestated when I found out he had Diabetes.  I had done my research, being more at risk for the disease myself, and know the risks and side effects involved.  It was pretty scary at first, but now that we've been dealing with it for a couple years, we know more what to expect.  My hubby has done well, he lost 40 pounds during a "biggest loser" challenge at his work this last year, and I know that has made a huge difference for him.  He just recently found out about this walk for  the ADA, and we are participating as a family.  I think it's a big step for us, and next year, I hope to become even more involved, and actually be able to raise some money for the cause.  Anyway, I wasn't trying to write a book here -- thanks for your comments though.  It's good to have someone else to talk to on here, who understands what it's like to have a spouse recently diagnosed with Diabetes.

  • Aren't your pictures wonderful! There's something joyful about them.  When the weather is good, we have them too flying over from Northampton... some in the shape of HP sauce bottles, or cartoon faces. I often wonder where they get to
