Dear friends,
I'm safely back at home in the Ozarks with my sweetheart, and back at work. It's good to be home, and it's comforting to be getting back into my own routine.
I will always treasure the last two weeks with Mama, as hard as they were.
Here are some of my favorite pictures from the get-together after Mama's memorial service Thursday night. Maybe you can get a glimpse of our loving family:
My niece Emily and my son Jamie

Glad to see you're home safe and sound. Sweet pictures of a lovely family. I see you like pink! It suits you well. It's my favorite color...beautiful flowers.
Thanks for the pictures. I'm glad you're safely home.
I'm sorry to hear about your Mama! I know the days ahead will not be easy but I have found such grace and strength flooding my soul in the months since my own father departed to be with our Lord in Oct. He truly is the God of all comfort! And I know He will be for you, too!
Glad to hear you are home safely. Thank you for sharing these things with us! God bless your family. Gerrie
Celia,
You're right. There is something comforting about being back in a routine. I felt the same after my mother died.
You and your sister Cissy, look very much alike. I'll bet you get told that all the time. Maybe I'll get a chance to wander over to the Times, give you a hug and say hello today. I took court for another reporter this week (as well as for my own judge), so it's been a very crowded week.
I am so glad you are back home in the Ozarks. It's odd when you leave and are gone for awhile you miss these hills. It's comforting to come back to this area, if you live here you know what I mean, for the rest of you come and see the Ozarks and you will understand. Glad your home. Dawn
Welcome home. And what a nice looking family.
Prayers abound as you continue moving forward! God Bless!
So good to see pictures of your lovely family. Little Ben is the cutest thing! I know this was a very special time for your family and I'm also sure it's still hard to believe your little Mama is with Jesus, breathing celestial air. The final goodbye's are so hard, and yet there's incredible joy in knowing the goodby really is not final. Praise God for a living hope!
You have my sympathies and prayers. I've been in the processing of moving and was a little distracted from your pain. Praying for your mother.
Lovely pictures; it's nice to get close-ups of your dear ones. Welcome back. When you get time, I'd love another favorite memory of your mother, seen through her loving daughter's eyes. Got another anecdote in your bag of stories?
