  • An afternoon drive with my sweetheart on some
    unfamiliar backroads yielded  sights
that coaxed my camera out of its case:

Spiral seedpods that looked like some kind of eerie Halloween decorations on a bare tree...

an abandoned house in the woods...

A screen of purple beautyberries in front of the little house...

    berries and house

    Red berries on the roadside...

Our old hills taking on their winter look, with the pastures turning from green to golden-brown velvet after our first frosts...

  • The beauty is seen by the one who has eyes to see it . Others pass indifferent .

I like the tree stretched desperatly its bare arms towards the sky
The last picture is grandiose and makes me think of Burgundy or Normandy in France .

    have a great Sunday
    Love

  • I like that you find interest and beauty in both God's handiwork and man's. Though... you seem to like man's much better after it has fallen apart. Hmmm... I wonder if that reveals some interesting spiritual viewpoint you have.

  • Your part of the world looks alot like our part of the world.

  • Isn't it neat to find some tiny bright spots of color, even in a mostly gray landscape? Glad you had a good drive...what fun!

  • I find it particularly interesting that you can make what is normally quite ugly, a rusted abandoned old car in this instance, and make it a thing of beauty.  I like your new profile pic.

  • I love your pictures! The spiral seedpods are so unique.

  • Great pictures.  I especially like the photo of the old car.

  • It's amazing to me that y'all are so far ahead of us seasonally. We still have lots of leaves on trees...lots of golden ones on the ground, but still lots in the trees, too.

  • Those are great photos... I love the spirals!
